Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the effect of Erfukang oral liquid on hearing loss, hearing reflex and transient evoked otoacoustic emission (TEOAE) in guinea pigs with gentamicin induced hearing loss. METHODS The guinea pigs were randomly divided into control group, model group, Erlongzuociwan group (2.7 g·kg-1), high, medium and low dose of Erfukang oral solution group (18, 9, 4.5 mL·kg-1). In addition to the control group daily intramuscular injection of 2 mL·kg-1saline, other groups were given daily intramuscular gentamicin sulfate 80 mg·kg-1, and given the corresponding drugs by gavage, injection (intragastric administration of drugs and injection of gentamicin was 14 d), auditory ears reflected in seventh day and fourteenth day after administration were tested, fifteenth day guinea pigs in each TEOAE testing. RESULTS Effect of gentamicin induced auditory auditory reflex in the deafness model of guinea pig:on the seventh day, hearing ear reflected, the control group and the model group had significant difference (P<0.01), each dose group of Erfukang oral liquid dosage group compared with model group had significant difference (P<0.01). The influence of TEOAE model of gentamicin induced deafness in guinea pig ear:total reaction energy of each dose group of Erfukang oral liquid decreased significantly compared with control group(P<0.05 or P<0.01); and correlation of each dose group of Erfukang oral liquid significantly decreased(P<0.05 or P<0.01). CONCLUSION The treatment of Erfukang on which hearing loss caused by gentamicin in guinea pigs has improved effect.
