Individualized Therapy Plans on One Patient with Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis Induced by Cefaclor Sustained-release Capsule

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the role of clinical pharmacist in individualized therapy plans in patients with toxic epidermal necrolysis(TEN) induced by cefaclor sustained-release capsule. METHODS To review clinical pharmacist participating make a therapy plans based on cases of drug-induced TEN and patient's situations for one patient with TEN induced by cefaclor sustained-release capsule. RESULTS Clinical pharmacist analyzed the cases of TEN induced by cefaclor sustained-release capsule by reference cases of drug-induced TEN and patient's situations, participated to make a therapy plan and implemented pharmaceutical care and pharmaceutical edueation for the patient in order to ensure the safety and effectiveness of drug. CONCLUSION Clinical pharmacist participates making and regulating the therapeutic plans by reference cases of drug-induced TEN and patient's situations to provide some evidences for individualized medication which can be the entry points to pharmaceutical care.
