Therapeutic Evaluation on Xiao'er Jianpi Plaster to Treat Infantile Anorexia

OBJECTIVE To observe the effect on infantile anorexia of Xiao'er Jianpi plaster, and to evaluate the therapeutic efficiency. METHODS one hundred ninety-two infantile anorexia cases were divided into two groups randomly, the control group (n=86) were taken Xiao'er Xiaoshi granules orally, the treatment group (n=106) were taken Xiaoer Jianpi plaster using acupoint sticking therapy. To compare two groups of curative effect and adverse reactions. RESULTS The effect of the treatment group was superior to the control group. There was significant difference between the cure rate and the total effective rate between the two groups(P<0.05). There was no significant difference in appetite onset time between the two groups. but Xiaoer Jianpi Plaster was working longer and more stable. CONCLUSION Xiaoer Jianpi plaster has the effects of ameliorating infantile anorexia and promoting digestion. It is safer, convenient, rapid, more durable and easily acceptable to children.
