Quality Investigation and Evaluation on Traditional Chinese Medicine Stachyuri Medulla Helwingiae Medulla in Market

OBJECTIVE To investigate and analyze the medicinal materials quality of Stachyuri Medulla Helwingiae Medulla in market, and lay the foundation for the quality control of Stachyuri Medulla Helwingiae Medulla. METHODS Relying on the local prefecture drug testing institutions for sampling survey in local pharmaceutical production enterprises, circulation and use fields. Thirty-seven samples were collected and identified, and the quality of samples were evaluated according to the Chinese Pharmacopoeia(2015) as the standard, combined with TLC. RESULTS the origin of Stachyuri Medulla Helwingiae Medulla was complicated in Zhejiang province, the vast majority of authentic varieties were identified as Stachyurus himalaicus Hook. f. et Thoms.or Stachyurus chinensis Franch., but very little of them were identified as Helwingia japonica (Thunb.) Dietr., all the fakes were Hydrangea davidii Franch.. CONCLUSION the false product rate is high, and the quality still need to be improved in Zhejiang province. The suggestions are as follows: improving the quality standard of pharmacopoeia, regulating, such as the increase in TLC; strengthening the original research and basic study of Medulla stachyuri; regularizing the Chinese medicine market, only in this way can the clinical medication security be ensured.
