Abstract
OBJECTIVE To solve the problem of "granules collapsed" in the fluidized bed granulation process for Tangshen granules. METHODS Through monitoring the inlet air temperature, the material temperature, spray liquid velocity, air blower frequency, granules size distribution, moisture content in the granulation process, the granules characteristics were found out when granules were collapsed. And it could be provided a basis to solve the problem of "granules collapsed". RESULTS The granules were easy to collapse when the moisture content of granules were > 3% and the granules size distribution of Dx(90) were >400 μm, and the problem could be effectively solved by reducing the spray liquid velocity and increasing the air blower frequency. CONCLUSION The problems of fluidized bed granulation can be effectively predicted by monitoring and controlling the quality of granuless.
