    Literature Analysis of Drug-induced Respiratory Diseases Caused by Chinese Patent Medicine

    • OBJECTIVE To provide a reference for the safe use of Chinese patent medicine by retrieving the situation of Chinese patent medicine-induced respiratory diseases. METHODS A total of 49 drug-induced respiratory disease cases reported in internal medical journals published from 1979 to 2015 were collected by retrieving CNKI and VIP Chinese databases, and then the data were analyzed statistically. RESULTS According to the above databases reports, there were 21 kinds of initiation of drug-induced respiratory diseases medicine from the 41 selected literatures. CONCLUSION A variety of proprietary Chinese patent medicines can cause respiratory diseases, should pay attention to the safety of Chinese patent medicine, focus on adverse reactions, avoid and reduce the incidence of drug-induced respiratory diseases.
