Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To establish an HPLC method for determination of α-asarone in hot melt pressure sensitive adhesive patches. METHODS Toluene was used as the exacted solvent. The column was ZORBAX Eclipse XDB-C
18(150 mm × 4.6 mm, 5 μm). The mobile phase was methanol-water (55∶45) and the flow rate was 1 mL·min
-1. The detection wave length was 311 nm. The column temperature was kept at 40 ℃. RESULTS A good linearity was obtained in a range of 8.032-18.07 μg·mL
-1 (r=0.999 9), and the recovery was 99.3%(RSD=0.99%). The solution was stable within 48 h under room temperature. CONCLUSION The method is simple and accurate, and is suitable for the determination of α-asarone in hot melt pressure sensitive adhesive patches.
